Post-op nursing care for cosmetic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries
4 hours
Choosing who helps you in recovery is just as important as choosing your surgeon.
It’s a big decision to undergo any type of cosmetic, aesthetic and/or reconstructive surgery. People spend months (or even years!) researching the procedure and the surgeons before going ahead with their procedure. As they should!
But that’s often where people stop… they don’t even think about what happens AFTER their surgery. No one really talks about the recovery and what that process will look like. There’s more than just the physical healing process - in addition, there’s also the waiting and emotional recovery that comes along with it.
Post-op and post surgical recovery is where the real magic happens. What the patient does or doesn’t do can make or break a surgeon’s good work.
Results don’t just happen in the operating room - that’s where they start, but not where it ends!
As exciting as it is to undergo a cosmetic procedure, the after care can be quite difficult to deal with and healing is not an easy task.
The recovery period is a crucial part of your cosmetic, aesthetic and/or reconstructive surgery outcome, and expert personalized nursing care will contribute significantly to the exquisite results that you expect.

Different surgeries will have different “rules for post-op care.
Certain procedures require a higher level of post-surgical care in order for you to make a full & easy recovery. Monitoring by a registered nurse who is specifically trained in this field means that you have someone attending to you who can recognize complications no matter how subtle and that can make the difference between a good and bad outcome.

Length of care
With our Safe Transition Home package, you will get 4 hours of post-surgery care at your home or hotel.
Professional nursing care at your home or hotel
Many patients stay overnight at a surgery center or a hotel for one day, and then after that you’re left on your own. Patients don’t often realize the care, support and assistance they’ll need after that, on days two, three and beyond. If you’re having a major surgery (like a “mommy makeover”, tummy tuck, or breast augmentation), even something as simple as getting out of bed can be difficult without assistance. Managing dressings, drains, and compression garment adds even another layer of care that can be stressful.
Don’t rely on yourself or friends & family
Being your own caregiver or relying on friends/family to help you is harder and more stressful than it looks. Your surgeon wants peace of mind that you’ll be taken care of properly and that you’re resting adequately.
Caring for you both physically and emotionally
The plastic surgery recovery period can be highly emotional and even depressing for some people.
You’re going to look and feel worse before you look and feel better, which many people don’t anticipate. Many patients also have feelings of regret over their surgery. Having a professional nurse care for you and also provide emotional support & stability during this difficult time can make a profound difference in your mood and mental/emotional state, which in turn can help to accelerate your physical healing and recovery.
